Note: The family camera has been having major problems. Recently, we learned it was broken and stuck in the "macro" mode. Therefore, all of our recent pictures were blurry. We have scrunched them down so that they are somewhat viewable.

Happy Holidays from the Philippines! Things here are going just fine, but it is easy to miss home during the holidays. We usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas, but because we are away from home, we did it a week early. It reminds us of home and the many happy Christmas memories we have.

We will be traveling to Baguio on Thanksgiving to spend the day with the Palmani family. They are also doing missionary work and are good friends of our family. Later that evening, we will return to Urdaneta and Heidi will have her 13th birthday party. We have rented a little room near the Lingayen Gulf. It is very beautiful there and the girls will have a great time. Barb is preparing food, games and special treats like roasting marshmellos. They will love it.

Isn't it hard to believe that Heidi will be teenager in a few days! It seems like yesterday we were at the hospital in Vero Beach on Thanksgiving morning and she was born. We will never forget how sad we were when the doctors told us she had very little chance of surviving the first 24 hours. And how grateful to God we were when we brought her home two weeks later. I plan on making a special page dedicated to her birthday, so you can check back sometime after the 26th and see all the fun.

Right: You guessed it. Barb turned the defrosted freezer into a snowman. Only in the Philippines!

Barb celebrated her 29th birthday (again--ha ha) on November 2. This is the arrangement of flowers I bought for her. We took her to Pizza Hut for her special day. That's as good as gets in this area.
Happy Birthday!!

This is our Christmas tree! They say that Filipinos are short. Well, so are the trees. Anyway, we had a good time decorating and putting last year's Christmas cards on the wall. It is really nice at night with the lights off and the Christmas music playing. You should come see it!!!

We sure appreciate hearing from everyone. And we especially miss you during the holiday season. We hope and pray that all of our family and friends have a wonderful Christmas season. And look forward to another great year!

God Bless You All!
