A Missionary Journey to the Philippines
January 2, 2006
Happy New Year! Things are moving right along
here in the Philippines. We enjoyed the holidays, but are
very much looking forward to getting back into our regular
routine. On New Years Eve I was reflecting on all that
happened in 2005. God truly did some wonderful things in the
last 12 months. I thought it would be encouraging to take
a look back as we get ready to serve the Lord for another
year. May God bless you in 2006.

Philippines 2005
In January 2005 we held our fourth series of evangelistic
meetings. Todd Bennick, Ryan Puett, and Jeff Elkins came from
NC along with 5 young men from ECBC. We held freestyle motorcycle
exhibitions and preached the gospel in over 100 public schools.
In this single week, over 111,000 people raised their hands
professing that they received Jesus as their Saviour. This
brought the total saved to over 225,000 since the beginning
in 2002. Praise God!
Tannie Del Rosario Fully Recovered
Many of you prayed for Tannie after he was electrocuted in
April. He was hanging a church banner across the road when
he accidentally backed into a live wire. I heard the explosion
and as I turned to see what happened, I saw a big flame come
out of his back. Tannie then fell from the electric lines
and landed on his back. We thought for sure he was dead, but
God spared his life. Although he was burned severely, it was
a real miracle that his heart was not injured and he had no
broken bones. Tannie is doing fine now and just started teaching
our adult Tagalog Sunday School class.
Giamie Went To Heaven
We met Giamie Anne Gallero in February. She was 12 years old.
Her little body was stricken with cancer. I was with Giamie
in Manila when her left leg was amputated in March. We became
buddies over the next couple of months until she died in June.
Thankfully, the very first thing we taught Giamie when we
met her was how to be saved. She received Jesus and now we
know she is in Heaven. Weve had thousands saved here
in the Philippines, but if all we did was reach this one little
girl, it would be worth it all. The full story along with
some pictures is still posted in the archive section of our
website.
One Year Anniversary
On August 7 we celebrated the one year anniversary of Crossroads
Baptist Church. God gave us 656 in attendance and 89 saved
in the adult service. Its hard to fathom all God has
done in the last year and a half. He is truly merciful to
let us have a part in His great work.
2005 was truly a great year for us personally
and the ministry here as well. Thank you, from the bottom
of our hearts, for your help and for your prayers. Please
pray with us as we get to work in 2006. The church folks here
gave in our Happy Birthday Jesus Offering and
we will be able to make some improvements to the building
in the next few weeks. We do need, however, to raise about
$4,000.00 to purchase the vehicle we are renting and pay for
some recent major repairs.
We trust and pray that 2006 will be a great
year for you all. Who knows, maybe this will be the year the
Lord returns to take us all to Heaven. Wouldnt that
be wonderful! So, we must be busy about His business.
Sincerely,
Eddie R. Galyean
