Proving God Great In 2008!

Dear Praying Friends,

First of all, please forgive my tardiness in writing this letter. We use a laptop computer and in the same week we lost both cooling fans and the keyboard. The parts were on order, but did not come in 90 days. Finally, we were able to get the parts from the States and get going again.

"Thank You!"
It’s hard to believe 2007 is already in the history books. I cannot remember a year that seemed to move more swiftly. And boy, what a year it was. Our motto was “Working for Heaven in 2007.” The highlight, of course, was the third anniversary in August when God gave us 5,056 in attendance. The year was filled with precious salvations, changed lives, and spiritual growth. I just want to say a special "Thank You" for the joy of serving the Lord here. I often pause to muse on what God has done here. It seems like just the other day this was all just an idea. And none of it would be possible without the help of our friends back home. On behalf of the lives being changed here and from the bottom of our hearts, I want to start off the year by simply saying Thank You!

Looking Ahead
Please pray with us as we march forward into the new year. Our new motto is “Proving God Great in 2008!” Here are some specific projects, possibilities, and needs for which we can pray together.

Property Issues: Honestly, we ran out of space a long time ago. There are several possibilities on the table about which we are praying and pursuing. We need God’s direction and the funding to make it happen.

Expanding Ministries: We are looking forward to expanding our extension Sunday school classes, growing our youth department, building the Bible college enrolment and baptizing more converts. I feel like the pump is primed and the next few months should be special.

New Work: We are surveying an area where we may be able to start a new work. My plan is to take all the staff and Bible College students into a new city for soulwinning and Bible studies once every week. It might allow us to jump start another ministry, and someday get it into the hands of one of our graduates.

Raising Support: The dollar has lost nearly 25% against the Philippine Peso in recent months. I will be prayerfully trying to bump up the support a little to compensate for the drop and to keep up with the growing ministry. There are already a handful of churches considering our ministry. Please pray with us.

Fourth Anniversary: I am already starting to organize my ideas to the anniversary in the summer. I am already excited to see what God will do.

There were 4 deaths within the church during the last 2 months of the year. We lost a 27 year old man who saved only a week, a teenage girl who was saved just a few months, a two year old boy who’s parents were recently saved, and Mariano Rosario, 72, who had been with us since the first week of the church. He was a very faithful man—sort of the “grandfather” of the church. These folks going to heaven reminds me just how short time is and the urgency we must have in spreading the gospel. We thank God we were able to have a part in working with these dear, precious souls. Thank you folks back home for standing behind us. Now, there is much more work to be done. And we are ready to go to work in 2008.
